About me

Meet Chelsea White, LCSW— the woman behind the mission.

Chelsea White, LCSW

Founder of Her Voice Project | Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Psychotherapist

I created Her Voice Project because I know what it feels like to have potential without always having a roadmap.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside children in foster care, young women navigating eating disorders, entertainment professionals, and individuals in private practice. Across those spaces, I kept meeting the same young woman.

She was capable. Brilliant. Creative. Ambitious.

She had ideas, dreams, and so much potential. But somewhere along the way, she had learned to question herself. She second-guessed her voice and struggled to see what others already saw in her.

She often had the talent.

What she needed was the confidence, community, and access to move forward.

Then and now — a first-generation graduate who learned the unwritten rules along the way.

First-generation graduate

As a first-generation graduate, I understand how powerful it can be to have someone in your corner — someone who can share knowledge, open a door, or help you navigate spaces you’ve never been in before. There were moments when I wished someone had simply told me: This is what you should know. This is how you get there. And this is what you’re capable of.

That experience has stayed with me.

Clinician first

As a therapist, I believe deeply in the power of healing. But healing is only part of the story. Sometimes a young woman needs more than encouragement. She needs a mentor who sees her potential, a community that reminds her she belongs, and access to resources and opportunities that make her future feel attainable.

This is my why

That vision became Her Voice Project. This project is to help girls and young women recognize her worth, develop the confidence to advocate for themselves, and gain access to the relationships, resources, and opportunities that can shape their futures. I want every young woman to walk into rooms knowing she belongs there, knowing her voice matters, and knowing she doesn't have to figure it all out alone. Her Voice Project is the roadmap and the person in your corner that I wished for. Every mentor match, workshop, conversation, and community experience is rooted in one belief: The next girl shouldn't have to guess.
